One of Mountain Hardwear's favorite 3-season tents, the Hammerhead 3 is a free-standing, 3-person tent that features a convertible roof panel that rolls back to reveal the night sky or will zip out to shed a couple ounces of weight. The Hammerhead 3 Tent has guaranteed watertight construction with a fully taped fly, taped perimeter seam, and welded corners. Mountain Hardwear's proprietary Evolution Tension Arch stabilizes this tent while using fewer poles, and maximizing user space. Large mesh areas on the canopy maximize breathability and there are adjustable vents in the fly. For access there are two large doors accompanied by two vestibules for storage. At 7 pounds 7 ounces the Hammerhead 3 is not excessively heavy, but you can set up the fly, poles, and footprint (sold separately) in an ultralight configuration when weight is a concern.
